This post is a story about the foundational concept (#1!) I started exploring here - the principle that balance requires a strong centre. The idea is that we each have such varying parts inside of us, trying to support the “work of art” that is our life, that it might be most useful to consider them all as different entities, (or legs of an easel) with our spiritual core (hopefully) as the director, or one in charge (or master artist!).
I hope you like this sensory metaphor for the existential…wobbliness? that you may feel you have some days! And - that it gives you a story to tell yourself that may help you find ways to feel more in control of your own thoughts, feelings, and actions, in accordance with your true values. Taking charge of all the wisdom inside of you (with its diverse and even conflicting viewpoints) is one hard thing, but I believe it is a great first step in working to attain a little more balance…
Balance, of course, is a really good start to feeling safer.
